Although it's an engraving, the image, appears surprisingly like a photograph. The glass is "smoked" in black. The image is lasered on to the back of the glass to reveal the image from the front. The likeness is excellent as you can see from the example.

At the time of purchase email your photo via email or U.S. Mail (I'll return the photo to you), and the text you would like to have engraved.

If you are emailing your photo, send it as a jpeg . Basically close up photos that are clear, sharp, with even lighting across the subjects will engrave with the best results. Keep this in mind when you select your photo.

This glass piece will look best with a light source coming from the back, like in a window or a lamp. The 9x7 glass has has beveled edges. A stand is also included.
